The Environment Group of the Henley Partnership

 

The Henley Partnership’s environment group exists to provide a forum for all those interested in environmental and sustainability matters affecting the town.

 

It also provides an objective environmental view of plans being presented to the town’s local authorities or being developed by them.

 

Group members include residents, educationalists and academics and local business people.

 

Recent activity by the group includes assessment of potential cycle routes for the town and commenting on Oxfordshire County Council’s local transport plans.

 

The group has also helped develop a biannual schools science prize, designed to increase young people’s awareness of environmental matters as well as underline the importance of science in their everyday lives.
